Prospective NBA dancers stream into the gym to try out for the Washington Wizards’ first-ever 50-plus dance team: Wizdom. A 50-year-old mom is ready to pursue a dream she put off to raise her children. A special ed teacher wants to inspire his students to conquer their fears. And a breast cancer survivor strives to dance into the next stage of her life. Dance team director Derric Whitfield is on a mission to prove that people can dance at any age, but he must ensure the dance crew can perform at the high level fans expect at Wizards games.
