Renaissance Aruba | I Found My Place

This is the actual thing that started everything.

Back in 2006, Aaron made a vacation video at the Renaissance Aruba, uploaded it to a brand-new site called YouTube, and unknowingly lit the fuse on an entire career. Marriott found it, flew him back telling him that he helped the brand realize the importance of social media, and the story landed on the front page of USA Today. (The full story lives on our About page, it's worth the read.)

Nearly twenty years later, we're still shooting for this hotel, and that's the part we're proudest of. The relationship that launched this whole passion for video is still going strong. The GM who was there then is still there now, and still tells the story. From time to time they bring us back to capture the resort at its best, fun social sizzles and marketing photography that ends up across their brochures, channels, and campaigns.

"I Found My Place" is one of those pieces, a little sizzle following a guest through the resort as she discovers some of the best parts of the property. It's a love letter to a place that means a lot to us.

Insider tip: most people know Aruba's famous Flamingo Beach, but few realize the only way to set foot on it is as a guest of this resort.

The Result

Twenty years, one special hotel, and a relationship that's never stopped. What began as a vacation video shot for fun has become one of the longest partnerships in our company's history, the kind that only exists when a client trusts you to make them look great, year after year. The footage and photography we create for the resort continues to run across its marketing, from social campaigns to printed materials guests see on property. But the real result is simpler: two decades in and one awesome relationship.
