Quantum computing has spent decades in the same saying: "someday."

Those days are fading quickly and IonQ is leading that charge. As one of the world's leading quantum companies, their message was simple and bold, Quantum is Now, not a promise for the future, but proof that they’re a technology already reshaping computing, security, and science today.

That meant translating something largely invisible and deeply technical into something people could feel. We brought the full toolkit to bear: live-action photography and cinematography, custom animation to visualize the unseen world of quantum systems, high power voice-over, and editing to tie it all into a single, momentum-building narrative. Every element was designed to do one thing, take an abstract frontier technology and make it tangible, urgent, and now - and keep it all within budget.

This was a collaborative effort where their Head of PR & Communications had a vision and we brought it to life.

We've produced a range of work for IonQ, and this recruiting piece is one of the early ones. Members of the executive team talk about why they joined and what makes IonQ an exciting place to build a career, shot inside a restricted server room.

The challenge: a small crew and quick set up but wanting to make a server room look cutting-edge, since that’s what IonQ is. With a small crew and not a lot of time, we leaned on lighting to do a lot of the heavy lifting, transforming a functional white tech space into something cinematic and colorful. The right color and light turned server racks into a cool atmosphere, and gave the look depth and more interesting . Honestly, people don’t often realize how impactful good lighting for interviews can be but when it works, it works.
