History Channel | History’s Greatest Mysteries

Some stories make history. Others leave questions behind.

Hosted and narrated by Laurence Fishburne (aka Morpheus in The Matrix films, though he has a long resume), History’s Greatest Mysteries takes a closer look at the events and unanswered questions that continue to fascinate us. The HISTORY documentary series brings together historians, scientists, authors, and researchers to examine the evidence, explore competing theories, and challenge familiar explanations.

From the Titanic, to Lock Ness Monster, to Roswell, the series finds fresh intrigue in stories audiences thought they knew. Each investigation invites viewers to look closer, question assumptions, and consider what might still be missing.

Schwartzy D.P.’d this series, both in the field and in studio, along with a number of other shows for History Channel (and other TV networks). For those who don’t know, a D.P. means “Director of Photography” (the chief head of camera & lighting on a film, television, or video production).

The Result

Seven seasons. More than 100 episodes. And plenty of questions still worth asking.

History’s Greatest Mysteries has grown into a long-running documentary series on HISTORY, with broadcast and streaming availability extending its reach. Its continued run speaks to the enduring appeal of historical investigation and a story that keeps viewers curious.
