(NOTE: we unfortunately don’t have a high quality version of this promo).

Kim Kardashian’s best friend and social media influencer “Foodgod” took his talents from the small screen to the big screen in 2021.

Jonathan Cheban, who legally changed his name to Foodgod (a name given to him by Kanye West), has been a longtime foodie and fan of extravagant cuisine. With his new show, appropriately titled Foodgod, he reached an audience beyond his 11 million social media followers as he traveled to lively cities and dines with his famous friends.

The four-episode series premiered on Sunday, Nov. 14, 2021 on Food Network and discovery+.

Schwartzy traveled around with Foodgod to Los Angeles, New York, Las Vegas and Miami showcasing over-the-top food such as massive cotton candy unicorns, “stained glass sushi”, and fried chicken served in a cage — plus every meal is paired with a celebrity friend.

In one episode, he delivers a giant cotton candy treat to Kim Kardashian-West before meeting up with her mom, Kris Jenner. More guests include Fat Joe, Criss Angel, Taylor Dayne, Romero Britto and Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto. This was a fast paced and wild show to shoot but a lot of fun.

The Result

Some projects are simply a blast to make, and this was one of them. Building a show around a personality like Foodgod meant leaning into energy, a ridiculous spectacle, and fun, and the production was exactly that. We shot it to match the subject: outta control, fast, and entertaining. The series found its audience, grew his following, and delivered exactly the kind of high-octane food-and-lifestyle content it set out to be. For our team, it was a chance to prove we can turn a larger-than-life character into a watchable, bingeable show. Also, Kim Kardashian is lovely.
