JOOLA | Play You For It
When JOOLA wanted to announce Kate Fahey, the world's #2 female pickleball player, joining Team Agassi and picking up Andre Agassi's signature JOOLA paddle for every tournament on her schedule, we leaned into a piece of sports history to do it. The spot is a deliberate nod to the iconic 1980s Michael Jordan and Larry Bird "trick shot" ads, that same escalating game of one-upmanship, reframed for two of pickleball's biggest names. It's a marquee moment in JOOLA's global campaign for the new Pro V paddle, and it needed to feel every bit as polished as the legacy it's referencing.
We shot inside JOOLA's own studio and pickleball court, which is a deceptively demanding environment. Lighting a full court to camera-grade quality means a large, power-hungry rig, and managing that setup takes real infrastructure: substantial power distribution and a crew big enough to keep every fixture dialed in without slowing the day down. That balance, a complex lighting system that still lets you move fast, was the whole challenge here, because a shoot built around athletes and choreographed shot-making doesn't leave room to fall behind schedule.
The Result
The result matched the ambition of the announcement: two rivals, one paddle, and a clear visual statement that anchors the Pro V launch. Andre also happens to be one of the nicest humans in the world.
