  • VIDEO EDITOR | MOTION GRAPHICS DESIGNER

    Location:

    Ideally the Washington D.C. area, however, this can be a remote position.

    The Position:

    Schwartzy is growing and we are seeking a Video Editor/Motion Graphics Designer to join our creative team. We produce content for large and small brands around the world. Projects will include editing video for commercials, corporate videos, promos, documentaries, compilations and sizzles, original video content for social, events, audio mixing/mastering, color grading, and overall motion graphics and video support.

    The ideal candidate will be a storyteller who has experience editing highly watchable, informative, and emotionally moving content and has a passion for being creative and wow’ing audiences. Attention to detail and giving projects the love they need is essential for this role.

    We are looking for someone who is highly motivated, organized & efficient, adaptable, energetic, nice, positive, professional, creative, and just has an overall good vibe. We have a solid foundation and are looking to build upon that and expand the team.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    · Creating amazing Corporate Videos, TV pilots, commercials, documentaries, and more.

    · Creating trailers, teasers, promos, compilations for social media.

    · Creating sizzle reels and recaps of live events.

    · Animating motion GFX to improve storytelling across all brands.

    · Color grading, audio mixing and mastering, etc.

    · Editing BTS and interview footage as bonus content.

    · Own individual projects from conception to completion.

    Background & Qualifications:

    · 5+ years of related experience as a video editor/ motion designer.

    · 5+ years editing with Final Cut Pro X (ideally) or Adobe Premiere.

    · 4+ years animating with Adobe AfterEffects.

    · 5+ years using Adobe Photoshop

    · Experience telling emotionally compelling stories through video.

    · Experience creating content for social media platforms and audiences.

    · Experience with sound design to elevate the storytelling and work.

    · Experience using color correction to enhance quality and consistency of video.

  • VIDEO PRODUCER | PROJECT MANAGER

    Location:

    Ideally the Washington D.C. area, however, this can be a remote position.

    The Position:

    Schwartzy is growing and we are seeking a Producer / Project Manager to join our creative team. We produce content for large and small brands around the world as well as TV shows and documentaries.

    We are looking for a goal-oriented and organized video producer to work closely with clients and manage video projects from inception to completion. In this role, you will have multifunctional responsibilities, such as crew hiring, estimating, concepting, set design, scheduling, playing a critical role during shoots, and working with editor throughout post-production.

    A successful Producer will have excellent time management and interpersonal skills and combine creativity with meticulous planning to create successful videos.

    Video Producer Responsibilities:

    Working closely with clients to help in the strategic planning and managing everything throughout the project.

    Assisting in the creation and refinement of scripts, project concepts, and other materials.

    Creating and managing a budget for all production costs and expenses.

    Sourcing staff, negotiating salaries, and hiring equipment.

    Scheduling all tasks within the video production process.

    Handling and planning for disruptions to the project.

    Locating, checking, and booking shooting venues.

    Directing cameramen, set designers, actors, and support staff.

    Working with editors to oversee the project’s finalization.

    Meeting with relevant stakeholders to discuss the project.

    Ensuring that the production quality of the final product is top-notch.

    Requirements:

    A bachelor’s degree in film, media, management, production, or a related field.

    A minimum of 4 years’ experience working on film sets or as part of a production team.

    In-depth knowledge of video production processes and activities.

    Skilled at negotiation, planning, and budgeting.

    Able to lead a production team and manage several tasks at once.

    Calm under pressure and comfortable with a fast-paced work environment.

    Problem-solving skills, deadline-focused, and goal-driven.

    Meticulous in their work with high standards of excellence.

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    Confident, passionate, and professional.
